This should be in the toolbox of every beekeeper! Simply, cover the open end with bead secured by an elastic band, and keep it with you. The perfect tool for keeping your queen in a secure place while you are inspecting your colony.
Beekeeping Top Tip: Don’t put the queen in your pocket. Put the roller cage with the queen, on top of the brood frames throughout the inspection. Then you will not be able to close the hive without first releasing the queen from the cage.
